Mob-Ex 2016: InMobi and Mindshare win Silver for ‘Best Mobile Campaign for an Event'

InMobi, in partnership with Mindshare Singapore, was awarded the Silver, in the category ‘Best Mobile Campaign for an Event' at the fourth edition of Mob-Ex Awards 2016, held at the Pan Pacific Hotel, Singapore. The win is for the mobile ad campaign ‘Sunsilk Pop-Up Salon’. The Mob-Ex Awards is the premier event celebrating mobile marketing excellence across South Asia, Southeast Asia and ANZ – to recognise the ultimate mobile masters.

The pop-up salon was an initiative by Unilever to offer free hair makeovers to women at kiosks set up in 4 different locations across Singapore. InMobi with its wide range of creative capabilities in innovative Rich Media Ads leveraged geo-targeting to reach users around the pop-up salon areas. The ads featured a unique concept where a customer would get a phone call from a popular online celebrity and youth influencer – Naomi Neo – inviting the customer to try out the Sunsilk pop-up salon. Over 10,000 women accepted Naomi’s pre-recorded call and Sunsilk’s brand preference rose by 93% over the course of the campaign.
