Targeting allows you to deliver your ads or creatives to specific countries and populations, enabling you to focus on a customized audience. The following are multiple types of targeting available on our platform:
Country Targeting
Country Targeting allows you to deliver your ads to specific regions within a country, enabling you to focus on a particular audience. We recommended that country targeting be used only for campaigns where your product or service can generate demand from users in specific countries.
Notes:
- If you choose Country Targeting, then you may get lower impressions when compared to targeting a wider geography.
- Region, City, and State Targeting are available only for specific countries, and is enabled conditionally.
Carrier Targeting
Carrier Targeting allows you to deliver your ads to users subscribed to specific carriers and those on WiFi. We recommended that Carrier Targeting be used for carrier-specific services like billing or tracking.
For example, if you have billing tie-ups with AT&T and Verizon, and would like to sell mobile content in the United States, you could select AT&T and Verizon as carriers.
Note: Carriers are listed only for selected countries.
Device or Platform Targeting
Device Targeting or Platform Targeting allows you to deliver your ads to users based on the type of device they use, the manufacturer of their device, or the operating system of their device.
You can target users by the following types:
- Manufacturer
- Operating System
- Device Models
The devices that are available for targeting are auto-filtered to show only the ones which support the Call to Action defined for the Ad Group.
For example, if you have an Ad Group with a Click to Android App call to action, the devices available for targeting will be the ones that support it.
Demographic Targeting
Demographic Targeting allows you to deliver your ads to users based on their gender and age.
Notes:
- If you choose Demographic Targeting, then you may get lower impressions.
- Demographic information is available only for sites that share the data with InMobi.
- Demographic Targeting is enabled conditionally.
Ad Scheduling
Ad Scheduling allows you to schedule your ad groups and deliver your ads on specific days of the week, and at specific times. For example, if you want to drive user traffic to your store during weekends, you could schedule your ad groups for delivery over the weekends. You could also time it with the working hours of your store.
Note: When setting a time of day, you need to set the start time and end time. All time settings are shown as Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).
For example, if you want your ads to be served between 4 P.M. and 6 P.M., you could select the three 1-hour slots marked 4, 5, and 6.
Note: Ad Scheduling is enabled conditionally.
