‘Monetising Mobile: The Rich Media Future of Mobile Advertising’ takes place at One Wimpole Street, London, on July 12th.
The event will examine the many ways that new formats are moving the mobile ad space beyond static display banners.
It’s exciting stuff. But it’s not always plain sailing.
One major issue is the lack of inter-operability between the different rich media vendors’ SDKs. After all, advertisers need to know that their immersive, creative campaigns can run anywhere.
This is why the Internet Advertising Bureau is working on MRAID – or “Mobile Rich Media Ad Interface Definitions” – to define a single API that diverse SDK vendors will support.
