HAMBURG, GERMANY – 27th June2012:

InMobi, the largest independent mobile advertising network, today announces two senior appointments as it continues its ambitious expansion across Europe. InMobi’s latest expansion follows18 months of continued growth for the company in a market expected to grow 85% in 2012 to €173 million. In taking up his new position, Jens comments: “Germany’s position as one of Europe’s big three powerhouse digital advertising markets, combined with its reputation for technology adoption, is perfectly matched with InMobi’s success in mobile advertising and its technology innovations. InMobi’s Rich Media offering, through the Sprout platform, makes it easy to create Rich Media HTML5 ads that are both engaging and relevant to consumers. One example of an effective campaign is SEGA’s Samurai Bloodshow rich media mobile ad, an app preview that was inserted into interstitial ads. Consumers could easily preview the app’s functionality, and gain near-instant access to the point of sale page for their device’s specific platform.InMobi is dedicated to helping advertisers understand the success of their campaigns, recently launching InMobi Ad Tracker to provide free comprehensive tracking of mobile advertising campaigns, across all mobile advertising networks and publishers in real-time.” The German market continues to see rapid growth for mobile advertising, with over 2.8 billion ad impressions served by InMobi in Germany in the first three months of 2012 – a 39% increase from the last quarter of 2011.Google’s Android operating system has the largest share of mobile ad impressions with 42.4% of the market, followed by Apple’s iOS at 34.8%. Apple’s iPhone is however Germany’s smartphone handset of choice with a clear lead of 21.8% of devices in the German market. Rob Jonas, Managing Director and VP of Europe, the Middle East and Africa at InMobi, concludes: “Germany is a key global market for InMobi with massive untapped potential for mobile advertising. These new appointments and the opening of the Hamburg office further demonstrate our commitment to the German market, which we expect to extend to regional offices and a series of customer and partner announcements in the coming quarters. “I am extremely confident that Jens and Florian are the right people to drive our business forward across the DACH region. Having been instrumental in the development of the contextual advertising market in Germany, Jens in particular brings a wealth of experience working with large brands looking to better promote themselves online, which can be readily transferred to mobile.” Jens Oberbeck and Florian Brandt join InMobi’s new Hamburg office. Their colleague Dimo Velev, Head of Business Development Central and Eastern Europe, is based in Munich.
