We are nearing the end of 2022, and consumers are experiencing their first post-pandemic holiday season. Earlier this year, eMarketer predicted that m-commerce would grow 24.8% in 2022 during the holiday period. Despite the predicted economic recession, there is still hope for publishers of all sizes and scale to make the best of the remaining holiday season and prepare for 2023.  

Here are five ways you can grow app revenue during the holidays: 

1) Create More Ad Slots 

If you’ve been apprehensive about adding more ad slots to avoid a bad user experience, or if there is any scope to add more ad slots, this is the time to leverage unutilized free ad space in your apps. Start with identifying the touchpoints in your app where you can display more ads. Then, allocate design and engineering resources to build more ad slots and unlock more revenue. 
 

2) Experiment With Ad Formats 

Explore new ad formats to drive engagement and provide a good user experience. If you've seen success with interstitial ads in your games, experiment with rewarded video to offer a user-initiated and engaging ad experience.
