SAN FRANCISCO, CA – October 30, 2012
Today, InMobi, the leader in mobile-first technology platforms, and the largest independent mobile ad network, today announced the appointment of Crid Yu as Vice President and Managing Director, North America. Yu was previously SVP, Strategic Partnerships at Demand Media, and held senior leadership positions during his eight years at Google. Yu’s expertise spans strategic partnerships, new media, and business development. He will leverage the senior leadership experience he acquired at Google, where he was both responsible for the top 1000 strategic partners in the company’s US Display Business, as well as leading operations in China, Hong Kong, and Korea; and his past at Demand Media, where he developed partnerships that expanded distribution and increased revenue. “InMobi’s mobile-first technology solutions make it easy for the world’s leading brands to engage global consumers at a far deeper level. The pace of innovation in mobile is phenomenal, and reminds me of the old days at Google—except that it is happening 10 times faster this time around. I’m thrilled to join the InMobi team in North America,” said Yu. “North America is one of the fastest growing regions at InMobi—both in terms of revenue and personnel. Crid’s experience of growing transformational businesses will enable us to accelerate the phenomenal growth we have seen in North America. We are very excited to have him on board at InMobi,” said Naveen Tewari, CEO and Founder, InMobi. Prior to his roles with Demand Media and Google, Yu led business development for Philips Semiconductors, and was a management consultant at McKinsey. Crid holds both a BS and a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.
