In a move to support robust growth within the mobile advertising industry in Australia, InMobi, the largest independent mobile ad network, today announced the opening of its Melbourne office and the appointment of David Ticconi as the Head of Sales, Victoria. The Melbourne office, lead by David, is part of InMobi’s latest move in its global expansion, with offices in Russia, Taiwan and Thailand launched only last month. “Setting up a Melbourne office was a natural step towards better supporting our clients across Australia. David has extensive experience in developing strategic cross media campaigns and we see this as a significant progression towards achieving the company’s long term goals. As Head of Sales in Victoria, David will play a key role in building InMobi’s profile nationally and strategically lead the Victorian market into mobile marketing,” says Francisco Cordero, General Manager and Regional Director of InMobi Australia and New Zealand. “I am excited to join the InMobi family and become part of the Mobile Advertising industry. Mobile advertising in Australia has started to explode and InMobi's investment in moblie technology and platforms made this an easy decision for me. I'm looking forward to spearheading the growth of the Melbourne business and mirror the success we are already seeing in other regions,” says David. David joins the InMobi team from Yahoo!7, where he was the Victorian State Manager. In this role he lead a team of digital media sales professionals across all of Yahoo!7’s display media properties. He has worked closely with Channel 7 and Pacific Magazines creating cross media campaigns and taking Yahoo!7’s and SMG Red’s four screens strategy to market. David brings over 13 years experience in media sales and management to his new role at InMobi.
