InMobi Expands Executive Team in New York as Company Ramps up North American Operations

New Strategic Team Headed by Branding Experts Francisco Cordero and Stephanie Sarofian SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - August 27, 2013

InMobi, the world’s largest independent mobile advertising network, today announced two key team appointments to help drive the company’s aggressive plans to expand its presence in North America. Francisco Cordero, a digital media expert from the Asia-Pacific region, is being promoted to Vice President and General Manager, Brand. Stephanie Sarofian, formerly of Digitas and named to Business Insider’s most recent "30 Most Powerful Women in Advertising,” is joining as Executive Director, Brand and Agency Partnerships. Cordero and Sarofian will head InMobi’s new Mobile First: Data and Audience Strategy Group, a New York-based strategic team that will spearhead brand and agency partnerships as InMobi accelerates North American expansion. “As InMobi continues its exponential, global growth into North America, we see a great opportunity to leverage our unique combination of big data, analytics and creative talent, so we sought out the ideal leaders for this new team,” said Crid Yu, Managing Director, North America at InMobi. “Francisco Cordero brings industry experience and dynamic personality to lead a team that will help the company increase market share in North America, and Stephanie Sarofian is a highly respected agency veteran who will put a wealth of innovative ideas into action. These appointments are part of our large-scale growth strategy and we’ll be hiring more individuals of this caliber.” Cordero, who has been on the forefront of the search, display, social, video and mobile industries, has been with InMobi since December 2011, joining the company as General Manager and Regional Director, Australia and New Zealand. He spearheaded the Australian Local Council of the Mobile Marketing Association, a global non-profit trade association representing all players in the mobile marketing ecosystem. Cordero joined InMobi from Groupon where he launched and built its Australian and New Zealand operations and directed its sales teams. His prior experience includes executive and senior sales positions with AOL, Bebo,Yahoo!7, ninemsn, and Lycos UK. Prior to InMobi, Sarofian spent 18 years at Digitas, the world’s premier integrated advertising agency, where she was most recently Senior Vice President/Global Managing Director. While there, she founded two groundbreaking initiatives: the Digitas Global Content Marketing Practice (The Third Act:) and the Digital Content New Front, an annual marketspace dedicated to digital media programming and trading. Founding partners also include AOL, Microsoft, Google, Yahoo, and Hulu. Sarofian was also named one of the “50 Marketers to Watch in 2012” by The Content Marketeer, and elected to the Cynopsis Media Most Intriguing People 2013 Hall of Fame. Sarofian’s client engagements include American Express, Delta, GM, Nissan, Samsung, Intel, L’Oreal, Bank of America, FedEx, P&G, Kraft Foods and Miller-Coors.
